Dear Parents and Students,

     Welcome to another school year at Jefferson Elementary School.  We are very excited that school is about to begin where we can get back into our routines and do what we do best, teach kids!

      Enrollment days will be August 5th from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and August 6th from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.  After those days we will continue to enroll students from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

      Our open house will be on Thursday, August 13th from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.  The purpose of the open house is to attned your child’s classroom for an orientation and to meet the teacher.

      The first half-day of school will be Monday, August 17th, from 8:25 to 11:40 am.  Breakfast and lunch will NOT be served on this day.  The first full day of school will begin Tuesday, the 18th.

    

      As school begins, we ask parents to practice patience in the parking lot.  It does get congested and we ask that you follow these guidelines:

             *  Students should be dropped off at the curb in front of the school in the parking lot no earlier than 8:00 am to eat breakfast and not before 8:20 for morning line up.

             *  Cars are not allowed to park behind parked cars.  You may only park along the curbs.  This will keep the flow of traffic moving.

             *  Parents that park their cars on the west side (opposite of the school curb) of the parking lot to pick up your

Student(s) at the end of the school day must leave your car and meet their student(s) at the school side curb and escort them to your car.

             *  When leaving the parking lot at the beginning of the school day and at the end of the school day, you cannot turn left.  You must turn right to keep the flow of traffic going.
