First Grade

Mrs. Kathleen Blair

Mrs. Blair is a graduate of Kansas State University. The 2007/2008 school year is her first year of teaching. She believes that all children should learn while feeling safe, loved, and having fun! Teaching is her favorite thing in the world to do!

Mrs. Patti Smith

Mrs. Smith is a graduate of McNeese University with a BS, as well as Kansas State University with her MS. Mrs. Smith has been teaching 30 years in USD 475 all of which have been at Jefferson Elementary. She believes that, given direction, encouragement, achievable goals, and an environment that promotes the learning process, all students can exceed expected learning levels.

Mrs. Paula Wewer

Mrs. Wewer believes that through hard work in the classroom and a strong partnership with parents all students can be successful. She is a graduate of Kansas State University and is married with two children. She has been teaching for 19 years and 17 of those have been at Jefferson Elementary School.
